12 minutes away The Glay quarries are an exceptional natural site to be discovered on your own in the heart of Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées. This former limestone quarrying site with a beautiful golden color characteristic of South Beaujolais, supplied the entire Lyon region with building materials from the 15th to the middle of the 20th century. It is the only quarry in the Rhône equipped for visits. Of great historical and heritage value, it is also a natural area of ecological, faunal and floristic interest.
